Frequently Asked Questions

Hiring a sports photographer can be overwhelming! There are many questions that need to be answered so you feel completely comfortable,

Here are my top 10 questions. If you have a question that I have not covered please send it through to me, I am more than happy to answer them.

  1. What experience do you have?

I have been photographing sports for over 5 years, capturing everything from day-of-action to individual player shots. I have photographed many school and club level sports including, football, cricket, athletics, soccer, surfing, paddleboarding, just to name a few.

I have a working with Childrens check and my own insurance.

2. How quickly can I expect my photos?

It depends on the structure of your booking. If it is a team event and you would like all players captured, it can take up to two weeks. If I am photographing an individual player, you can expect your photos in a week.

You will receive a “sneak peak” within 24 hours of the shoot.

3. Are digital copies included in your service?

Yes, that is all you receive from me. If you would like to have them printed, you will need to organise that yourself. The photos are taken in the largest possible format so you will be able to use them in any form of print without losing any of the detail.

4. Do you have any references or testimonials?

Yes I do! You can see a select few on my home page. If you are after a full list, please send me through a request, I would be more than happy to provide you with them. (They are too long to include all on a website!)

5. What equipment do you use?

I am a canon girl all the way! I feel their product is the best on the market and they have the best range of glasses (lens) for any occasion.

6. Are your photos retouched or edited?

No, but yes.

No, none of my photos are retouched. If you are after creating an image, I am not your photographer. As a sports photographer its my job to capture the moment in time, the skill, the facial expression, the story.

But yes, I do crop photos to put them into frame.

7. Are there any additional fees associated with your service, like travel?

I service the South Gippsland region, but I do travel. Please give me a call on 0400 528 382 or send me through a message to discuss your individual requirements.

8. Is it possible to preview your work prior to booking a date with you?

Yes absolutely! You can view some of my work here on the website, but if you are looking for a sport that you cannot see here, shoot me through a message and I can provide you with some samples.

9. Can we book in a group session?

Yes! I have photographed many group sessions. Please call me on 0400 528.382 or shoot me a message to discuss your individual requirements.

10. Do you shoot at any location in any type of weather?

When we first start discussing your shoot, I will visit the location prior to ensure I get the best results for you. If for some reason, the location is unsuitable. I will let you know as soon as possible.

I do shoot in all weather. Often rainy days really bring the story of the game and athlete to life. Of course, if I am shooting inside, this is not applicable.

Additional Information.

The skill of the player/athlete determines the outcome of the photo shoot. Although I use all my skill and experience to ensure you receive the photos you are after, I cannot make the player/athlete perform. Remembering sports photography is about capturing a moment in time.

If you are wanting your child to be photographed, please make sure they are comfortable with having a camera pointed at them - sometimes this can be daunting for kids! I will do all I can to ensure they feel like little superstars.
